Software Freedom Day 2006

Software Freedom Day celebrations this year were held at Crescat in the morning and afternoon and at Excel World in the evening. The high end PCs were demoed at Crescat in the morning, including a server machine and some laptops donated by our friends at Fencom, and Bud’s Mac Mini running Linux as well. Hundreds of flyers along with free Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Xubuntu CDs were distributed to the various people passing by.

Later on in the evening the event was moved over to Excel world and the fun continued there. Games were demoed and more flyers and CDs were handed out.

Our thanks go out to all our sponsors and the FOSS community for helping out. This all would not have been possible without you!
